Post by BENVOLIO MICAH MATHERS on Jun 1, 2010 15:21:47 GMT
fuming, benvolio mathers stormed out of the house that was owned by the vampire mafia. the meeting had gone horribly wrong and he had been made to look like a complete fool in front of everyone. and it wasn't even his fault. it was her fault. elodie regent. they had been sitting at an elongated table, talking about the recent reveal of their kind and how things had gone from bad to worse and what they could do about it. ben had been sitting towards the end, near the main door. he had been completely fine, content to pretend to listen as their leader spoke about various solutions to their ever-increasing problems. then, out of nowhere, he felt cold skin brush up against his bare arms and he was sudden hit with unexplainable desire. he tired to conceal it at first, but the more he fought it, the more the fire of ecstasy grew for her. finally, unable to think of anything else, he had made his move and had kissed her full on the mouth in front of everyone. his intentions had been to go further than a simple yet passionate kiss on the mouth, but the next thing he knew, he had been grabbed under the arms and hauled out of the room by security. "cool off, young one." a thick, angry voice had told him once he was outside in the night air. after a few minutes had passed and his anger had subsided, along with the burning flame of desire for one elodie regent, he began to walk back to the garage and found his car, a brand new porsche convertible. jumping inside the driver's seat, he placed the keys gently inside and revved the engine to life and headed for the bright lights of london.
the car seemed to have a life of its own as he zoomed past tourists and citizens out for a late night in the city. most of whom where human, but a few were like himself. passing various stores, cafes and shops, he finally stopped at his favorite pub. it was simple and quaint, but as the years had passed, the pub had tagged along. the pub had retained its old world charm, which was probably part of the reason why benvolio micah mathers frequented the pub so often when he could no longer get drunk off watered-down ales and draft beers. it had reminded him of his old life, his life as a mortal. of course, sometimes he put on a show and pretended to have one too many drinks simply so patrons wouldn't suspect anything, but tonight he simply wanted to visit his local spot and fume by himself in his customary spot in a darkened corner by the fireplace. perhaps a particularly stunning young woman would come in with a group of friends, and she would eye him. he would pretend to be stunned that someone as beautiful as her would make eye contact with him. once they would go behind the pub, she would find out differently. early in his vampire life, a few years after he had been turned, he found it exhausting that he looked so young and almost no one feared or respected him. but as he grew into his vampric abilities, the tides had turned in his favor and his age and his innocence about him only helped him find his next meal. a few hours had passed, he had gaged, as the pub patronage increased and the darkness had blanketed the city in front of him through the grimy windows when benvolio spotted his next meal. she had been a young woman of about twenty or twenty-one, he guessed, with long legs and a slim figure. her hair had been fiery red that was long and wavy. as he began to get up to approach her, a brand new scent found his nose. he looked up, his half empty glass of Guinness enclosed in his grasp, to see the woman who had caused him to go to the pub in the first place. he watched as she walked straight towards his table in the back, away from everyone. it was dark and it would have been difficult for humans to know that he had been back there save for a vampire with almost superhero-like eyesight.
once elodie pulled the chair out from the table and sat on it, ben sat back against the booth, crossing his legs underneath the table. he let out a exasperated sigh and eyed her for one long moment. apparently the effects of her touch had subsided, but he still a lingering, soft desire from the older immortal. though he knew exactly what to do to get her back. patience was a virtue, but vengeance was sweeter. he knew exactly what he wanted to do, as he watched the human men eye her in the same desire that he had once felt for her. "miss regent." he said, his soft, subtle southern accent coating his words. "come to check up on me or do you care to finish what we started earlier?" he asked, raising an eyebrow to her while he remained indifferent.

Post by ELODIE CORNELIA REGENT. on Jun 1, 2010 16:45:49 GMT
a meeting was the last thing elodie regent wanted to endure. the only reason aleks had called said meeting in the first place was down to his new daughter. jaimeson was still rather .. emotional .. about becoming a vampire & her way of showing her displeasure was by exposing them all. jaimeson was young - not even a month old. she would soon realise that becoming a vampire had been the best thing for her. who wouldn't want to be a vampire? everlasting youth, the ability to control humans as they saw fit, incredible strength & speed, & no need to eat or drink ever again. these were just a few of the perks; when a vampire lived long enough, they began to develop other abilities. these abilities varied from vampire to vampire; some, like aleks & beth, were focused on pain, others were clairvoyant, & yet others were telepathic. elodie, on the other hand, had a much more interesting power. elodie did not focus on pain, but merely upon pleasure. the simple act of brushing her skin over another person's had them so desperate for her they were almost in pain. elodie could make anyone want her. anyone. the elder members of the mafia had taken to keeping as much of their skin covered as possible, but some of the younger, newer members weren't quite as aware of this vampire's skill as others, & these were the people elodie preyed upon. she moved her arm minutely, brushing the pale, cold skin against a similar arm, lying symmetrically next to hers. glancing to her right, elodie caught the gaze of the now lust-filled vampire, & smirked to herself. she allowed him to kiss her, caught up in her game she'd started merely out of boredom. the fact that every vampire in the room watched her - either in curiosity or irritation - only spurred her on.
as quickly as it had started, the younger vampire was removed from the room, & elodie turned back to the meeting as though there had never been any disturbance. she spoke over beth often, ignoring the glare of the elder vampire & making her own viewpoints known. in elodie's opinion, why should they have to babysit a child? jaimeson should be let loose in the world; let her terrorise towns & cities & become so afraid of herself she could scarely move. elodie pulled her hair over her shoulder; no one knew of elodie's past - they did not know elodie wished to put jaimeson through the same terror she'd once experienced. pushing herself out of her seat, her eyes flickered towards the large clock hanging on the wall. plenty of humans would be out now, wandering the streets of london drunkenly, on their way to the next bar, or the next club, or even home. elodie didn't have the patience for this. she turned away from the table abruptly & ignored beth's harsh whisper. she stalked towards the door & slipped through, feet immediately taking her towards the elevator. she sneered as she passed the baby vampire sulking on the sofa, & threw the remote control right back at the teenager, smirking at the sound of a sickening thud & a hiss. pressing the button, it took elodie no time at all to reach the lobby, &, despite the multitude of humans hanging around, elodie stalked straight out of the building, towards the garage. when she emerged, she was strapped into her ford kuga ( because, despite appearances, elodie did try her best to blend in, & if abiding by the law meant blending in, then so be it ) & making her way towards .. anywhere. perhaps she could find benvolio - a ridiculous name for a ridiculous vampire, but he was entertainment none the less, & elodie was bored. perhaps the company of the younger male was exactly what she needed.
after an hour - though it felt much longer, due to elodie's lack of patience, & hunger - elodie slowed her car to a stop, & parked behind benvolio's ostentatious red porche. she would have known that ridiculous car anywhere. the smell also gave him away; the dead, somewhat clammy smell of any vampire always alerted other vampires to others within their midst. no matter how hard they tried to cover it up, no amount of perfume or cologne could hide it. stowing the keys to her vehicle in her pocket, elodie made her way inside the pub, trying to keep the distaste hidden. a smirk pulled her features up at the smell leaking out from inside; there were humans, & plenty of them. walking inside, elodie flexed her fingers, & moved forwards, dragging her hands across as much exposed skin as she possibly could. one person - a female, by the scent - succeeding in grabbing hold of her wrist, & tried to tug her back towards her. elodie, however, wasn't interested in anything other than play. she slid her wrist free & kept moving forwards, following her nose, eyes glinting in the light as she spotted the single, solitary figure at the back of the room. she made her way towards him, & sat down in the seat opposite, without a word.
"miss regent. come to check up on me or do you care to finish what we started earlier?"
elodie kept silent, crossing her legs at the knee & casting a glance back at the humans she'd toyed with, pursing her lips & smirking at the sight of so many people wanting her. the fact that they were humans was only mildly offputting; it meant they were disposable. "that entirely depends upon you, mr. mathers. which would you rather?"
