------------------------- it's like i'm your lover,
mitchell had done something incredibly stupid. he didn't actually know how he had possibly done said thing because he was a vampire. the day had started out as usual. he'd sat inside all morning until the sun had gone down. then he'd gone to find lorraine. the only human he actually wanted to be around at this moment in time. even if he did want to kill her whenever he was around her. not just for fun, but because her blood was so.. so unique. he'd never smelt anything like it and believed that after lori was gone, he'd probably never smell that scent again for the rest of forever. he didn't want that to happen. he just wanted lori. he wanted to be human so he didn't have the urge to kill her whenever he was around her. he didn't even want to be a vampire. why didn't he have a choice anymore? why did it seem that everything was already planned for him? but today wasn't like any other day. just because he'd come to madam tussauds with lori. he'd ended up wandering off, still thinking she was behind him. her scent was overpowering when he was near her, but the smell of wax was masking the smell. he could only smell the bitter, musty smell of wax figures. people passed him, but he wasn't paying attention to their scents. he was trying to find lori's. her scent was the only one he was after, really. the others didn't even seem to bother his growing thirst. he hadn't noticed it, really. the only time he felt a sudden burning in the back of his throat was when he was around lori. or his brother. mitch forgot about where he was for a moment, the meeting of his brother flooding back into his head. it hadn't been the best meet. his brother's scent was.. just as overpowering at lori's. only, he didn't quite lust for his brother's scent. it was more just a case of, if he was thirsty and his brother was around, he wouldn't hesitate to grab and bite him. it was mainly because his brother's blood smelt of home. or at least, what he'd always expecting his birth home to smell like. he couldn't really explain it. it was sort of like the scent you come across after walking into a candy shop for the first ever time. a mixture of strawberry, orange, liquorice and caramel. the scent that mitchell always seemed to miss. even before he'd smelt his brother.
mitchell opened his eyes suddenly and frowned. he looked around for a moment, trying to ignore the weird glances he got from people. a little girl had been staring up at him and had been about to poke his leg before he shifted his position. had he been that still? still enough for people to think he was actually a wax figure. that wasn't good. mitch frowned, smiling at the little girl who still had her hand outstretched. she was still looking up at him, a scared look on her face, as though mitch was about to lash out at her. "sorry. don't be scared. where's your mother?" he asked her softly and quietly, putting his hands on his knees and bending down so he was level with her. the little girl watched him before turning her head. uhm. i think.. i don't.. i.. she was there.. and now.. i don't know.. mitchell didn't like the sudden panic in her voice. he frowned, looking around. "well, what does she look like? and what perfume is she wearing?" he went on, his voice still quiet. the little girl looked back to him quickly. i think she's wearing my daddy's aftershave. she told him. mitchell nodded, standing slowly and then offering his hand to the little girl. he was inhaling as he did, catching the scent of her blood and then a slightly more manly scent. he smiled, feeling a sudden warm sensation in his hand. he looked down at the little girl, who was clinging to his hand. mitchell inhaled again, getting a stronger whiff of the manly scent and then a sort of peach scent. he walked towards it, stopping when he saw a woman with black hair tied up in a bun, turn around. she looked at him for a moment until he looked down at the little girl. she'd now grabbed onto his leg slightly, the figures scaring her. the woman breathed a sigh of relief and walked towards him. mitchell looked back at her for a second before bending down again and pulling the little girl from his leg gently. he looked back up at the woman and so did the girl. she smiled brightly and then wrapped her arms around the woman's legs. the woman bent down and picked her up, hugging her close. mitchell stood up and nodded to the woman. thank you so much. you're a really good person. she told him. mitch just smiled, shrugging lightly. "thanks. and it's no problem. just trying to help." he gave the little girl a smile before they walked away. now he had to find his own human.
mitchell turned around, moving his hands and putting them into his pockets. he inhaled, frowning at the lack of lori's scent. what if she'd got lost? what if she was hurt? no, she couldn't be. he'd have smelt that if she'd hurt herself. mitchell shook his head, walking around the figures. he kept inhaling but still had no luck. after a while, mitch stopped and took his hands out of his pockets. he hadn't actually brought his phone today. he hadn't planned on losing his girlfriend. girlfriend. it felt so good to call her that. she was his best friend. and helovedliked her. he hadn't known her long and already he had felt a connection. they hadn't told anyone of their relationship. it would just cause problems. people would think it was 'wrong'. mitch would probably tell damon, his brother, soon. if they actually grew closer. he hoped they did. he had a twin. surely they still had twin likeness? even if they had been apart for practically eighteen years. surely there was still something there. something that obviously brought damon to london. and then brought them to meet at the park. it wasn't just coincidence. was it? he knew that his foster-mother and father hadn't tipped damon because they were both dead. his best friend hadn't as he too was dead. all killed and drained by mitchell. that was the only reason he was sure they couldn't have told damon. mitchell shook his head, turning to move again so he didn't get too caught up in his thoughts. he wandered around for a little while longer before coming to a wall. he leant against it and closed his eyes, groaning lightly. he slid down the wall and then opened his eyes, sighing deeply. he knew they should have figured out a place to meet if they got lost. mitchell's brain had decided to tell him this over half an hour after he'd actually lost her. stupid mind. he swore that the vampire-ness was making him forget things. his human memories were cloudy enough. he didn't want to forget things completely. at least, not most things. he could do with forgetting the first few months of his vampireism, though. the pain her went through. not just physically but emotionally too. mitchell folded his arms over his chest and chewed at his lip. he'd stay here for a while before starting to search for lori again. he hoped she hadn't already thought of this and was sat against some other wall waiting for him. that would be really bad.
